The flow of electric current is analogous to the following processes:

i)The flow of water through a pipe.
ii)Flow of blood through the blood vessels.

-In all these instances, the flow is subjected to little resistance and is being pushed by a pumping force, that is, pump for water, battery for current and heart for blood.
