To make the geographical mapping and locating procedures a lot more easier ,we use the latitudes and longitudes on the maps.

Similarly,the latitudes are imaginary half circles which are drawn on the surface of the earth.

The geographical characteristics of these latitudes are;

1) The latitudes are always vertical.

2) The weather conditions also changes with the latitudinal distances.
