1.The root hair cells are elongated thin slender epidermal extensions which do not form tissues with other root hair cells where as mesophyll cells are generally round and form tissues called parenchyma with surrounding cells

3.vacoules are generally absent in root hair cells as they do not store any substances whereas mesophyll cells have large central vacoule.

4.most of the root hair cell is hollow as it serves the function of transportation of water whereas mesophyll cells have dense cytoplasm as they carry out photosynthetic and anabolic reactions
