Universal law of gravitation states that every object in the universe attracts to every other object with a force  that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

 F = m1 m1

 F =
 \frac{1}{ d^{2} }

 F =  \frac{m1m2}{ d^{2} }

Explanation:

Every object in the universe attracts every other object with a force which is :-

1) Directly proportional to the product of their masses.

2) Inversely proportional to the square of distance between them.

3) The direction of force is along the line joining the centre of the two objects.
