1 is a prime number ,the statement cannot be concluded

Definition:

  • A prime number is a natural number greater than 1 that is not a product of two smaller natural numbers.
  • A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself.A factor is a whole number that can be divided evenly into another number.
  • A prime numberis a positive integert hat has exactly two distinct positive integral divisior.

Explanation:

  • As per the definition, prime number should be divided by 1 and the number itself.
  • 1 is divided by 1,and the number itself is also 1 ,so according to this we can say that 1 is a prime number.
  • But the modern definition of prime number says that,a number which are exactly divided by two factors are said to be prime.
  • If we consider this definition,1 is divided only by one factor that is 1,from these we can say that 1 is not a prime number.

Therefore, from my point of view "1 is a prime number" the statement cannot be concluded.
