state what will happen to volume of water when it is heated from 4°c to 8C​

  • Water has a unique property of anomalous expansion. When water is heated from 0oC to 4oC it contracts continuously instead of expanding. That means its volume decreases upto 4oC. When heated from 4oC to 10oC, its expansion is normal like the expansion of other liquids.
