Step-by-step explanation:

ANSWER:-

Given Fraction :-

 \dfrac{ 35}{50}

We know that:-

  • Any denominator which has a format of 2^m ×5^n has a terminating decimal .
  • The terminating ones are Rational As they are in fractions.

Factors:-

  • Factors of 50 are :-
  • 2 ×5×5

So,

 \dfrac{35}{ {5}^{2}  \times 2}

  • So, we can observe that it is terminating as the DENOMINATOR is obtained in the factors of 2 and 5 respectively.
  • So, it is a terminating Number.

Note:-

  • If in case , there is one more multiple say

2 \times 5 \times 7

  • In this case,
  • Due to 7 it is not terminating.

Terminating Non Terminating :-

  • Those numbers which occur in roots or in continuous decimals are non terminating numbers.
  • Terminating Numbers are those which are Rational and also stop at fixed decimal.
  • It does not occur in roots, but in perfect Squares.
