Answer:

As resistance is directly proportional to length so here u are reducing the length of the heating element so resistance will also be decreased. And we know resistance is inversely proportional to power (when resistance will increase,power will decrease and power will increase when resistance is decreased).

Here resistance is decreasing so power will increase.

Hence,electrical energy consumption will be more.
