State whether is it true to say that AB=EF, if it is given that triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF.

No.
Because according to the rules of congruence, corresponding sides are congruent. Here, sides corresponding to AB is DE and not EF. So, we can say that AB=DR but not AB = EF
