State whether the following statements are true or false. Give reasons for your answers.
(i) Every natural number is a whole number.
(ii) Every integer is a whole number.
(iii) Every rational number is a whole number.

1)Yes every natural number is a whole number
Whole number are 0,1,2,3,4.....
so every natural number is whole number.

2)No every integer is not whole number because integers include -4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2
but whole numbers include only numbers from 0.........

3)every rational number is not whole number because rational number are numbers which can be written in the form p/q.So whole numbers are not in p/q form

1) It is true that every natural number is a whole number.. because we know that
Natural number are.
1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.................
and
Whole number are
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.................
whole number starts from but natural number starts from 1.
That's why we say that natural number are whole number.

2) whole number as told earlier....
Integers are those numbers
which have positive, negative values or it is zero.
Integers :- -4, -3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4
So, every integer is not a whole number.

3) Rational number are those numbers which are in the form of fraction or p/ q
and q is not zero.
So, every Rational number is not whole number.
E.g :- 1/3 , -1/2 , 5/6 , 7/8
