HEY mate !! HERE is your answer !!

Cutting of papers is not a chemical change rather it is a physical change as no new things are formed.
So It Is FALSE.

Burning of sugar is temporary change yes it is absolutely correct because we can provide shape again to the deformed sugar syrup.
So it is TRUE.

Hey!!!

First of all, what are physical and chemical changes??

>> PHYSICAL CHANGE - physical change is a change is reversible. In this change, it only changes the physical traits of the substance, don't change the substance. May be there can be change is shape, size or position but it will remain the same thing or substance.

>> CHEMICAL CHANGE - chemical change is irreversible. It's a chemical reaction where the substance changes completely and a new substance is formed.

Now, (a) cutting a paper into pieces is a chemical change.

This statement is false as I told u before that in chemical change, the substance become a new substance. But in this change, there's no change in it.. only shape and size. It is still a paper like it was before. So it's physical change.

(b) burning of sugar is a temporary change.

Temporary change is like physical change, in this the change is done for sometime and we will get back that substance like before. And permanent change is chemical change, it can't be get back.

And heating or melting sugar is a physical change (temporary) as it melts and we can get back sugar cube after cooling but burning of sugar is not a temporary change.. we know that sugar contains carbon in it and carbon reacts with oxygen and oxidised. Similarly on burning sugar, it reacts with oxygen and all chemical bonds break. So this statement is false. It's a permanent change (chemical change)

Cheers!!!
