when there is some problem in the equipment or plastic coating around live and neutral wire come in contact with each othere large current flows through the wire producing heat if any inflamable material exist around that wite it catches fire..

it can be prevented by using fuse wire or miniature circuit breaker

b). Parallel circuit and Series circuits are often used in domestic electric circuits .

c). Electric short circuit occurs when wires are overheated .

  • Parallel connection is used because if there occurs a problem in any appliance, no other appliances are affected .
