young's double slit experiment is a successful approach to produce to go and sources in a room to observe interference pattern this is the only way to study interference of light in a dark room with the help of single point source and two slits .
in the figure shown we will observe that bright fringe is produced on the extreme Central part of the screen and consecutively bright and dark fringes will be produced on the screen .side fringes means there will be constructive interference and dark fringes image there will be destructive interference .

this method is known as splitting of wavefront method
