(1) Bond angle of H₂S is smaller than H₂O due to the following reasons :

- As oxygen has more electronegativity factor more than the sulphur (less electronegative) , this is the reason why bond angle of H₂O is more than H₂S.

(2) Electronegativity of the central atom increases,bond angle decreases due to the following reasons :

- As the factor of electronegativity decreases from Fluorine to Iodine then the bond pairs will come closer to the central atom and hence the repulsion between bond pairs will increase and further gradually the bond angle decreases.
