Sea breeze and Land breeze

Explanation:

  • Blowing of air from a large body of water towards the landmass is known as Sea breeze. This is because land heats much faster than sea during day times due to sun's radiation.
  • This is also known as onshore breeze. In this, cold air form sea travels toward the land and warm air of land travels towards the sea to complete the cycle. It occurs during daytime.
  • Whereas during night times, land cools down quickly than sea which means warm air from sea now travels towards the land and cold air from land goes towards the sea. This process is known as Land Breeze.
  • It occurs at night time and also known as offshore breeze.

Therefore, both Statement a and statement b is correct.
