Cigarette smoking is responsible for several cancer and heart diseases. Smoking can cause lung, throat and mouth cancer because it damages the cells that lining the lungs. Normal cells lining the lungs damges rapidly and get converted to cancerous cells lately.


Cigarette contains Carbondioxide and Tar which are actually cause of cancer.



1. Carbondioxide : It is gas responsible for decrease availability of oxygen in the body leads to many complications in the body.


2. Tar : It is brown colored, sticky material that effects lungs and breathing.

Smoking is a major cause for cancer. If Tomas smokes, then his chances of dying of cancer is more than 70-80% than that of a non-smoker.

Cancer as a result of smoking or even passive-smoking, effects the lungs, mouth, throat, oesophagus, liver, colon etc. If detected and treated early, most of these are curable, however, fatality risks are high.

Nicotine and other chemicals present in cigarettes or cigars are what cause cancer.
