No motorbike is a cycle. (Option B)

  • According to the question, there does not exist any watch which is a cycle, and there is no cycle that is a motorbike. However, there is one type of auto, which is a motorcycle. These two shares some similarities.
  • Following the hints in the question, we may conclude that "No motorbike is a cycle" because a motorbike has nothing in common with an auto, and auto has nothing in common with a cycle.
  • As a result of the above, we might deduce that "no motorcycle is a cycle."

No motor bike is cycle is the conclusion from the given options.

Given:

  • Statements:
  • No watch is cycle
  • No cycle is Motorbike.
  • Some auto are motorbike

To Find:

  • Make a Conclusion from below options
  • I. No Motorbike is watch
  • II. No motor bike is cycle
  • III. Some cycles are watches
  • IV. All Motorbikes are watches

Solution:

Check Each option 1 by 1

I.  No Motorbike is watch -

This can not be concluded as no direct relation given between watch and Motor bike

II. No motor bike is cycle

This is  correct.

As If we we assume any motorbike is a cycle.  Then that cycle is a motorbike, which contradicts  "No cycle is Motorbike"  . Hence No motor bike is cycle.

III. Some cycles are watches

This is wrong

As If  any cycle is a watch.  Then that watch is a cycle, which contradicts  "No watch is cycle"  . Hence Any cycle can not be watch

IV. All Motorbikes are watches

This can not be concluded as no direct relation given between watch and Motor bike

Hence from the given options conclusion can be made is :

No motor bike is cycle
