  • Make a venn diagram of the problem.

in venn diagram of given statements we have :-

  • A = apples.
  • W = watermelons.
  • F = fresh.
  • P = potatoes .

Conclusion 1) :- Some apples are fresh.

  • from image we can see that, relation between apple and water is given and than, all watermelons are fresh also given..
  • we can easily see that, fresh circle also touches apple.
  • Therefore Conclusion 1 will follow.

Conclusion 2) :- Some potatoes are apples.

  • Potatoes have only relation with fresh .
  • Therefore Conclusion 2 will not follow.

Conclusion 3) :- Some watermelons are potatoes.

  • Both Potatoes and watermelons have only relation with fresh . Not with each other..
  • Therefore Conclusion 3 will not follow.

Conclusion 4) :- Some watermelons are apples.

  • in statement we have Some apples are watermelons.
  • Therefore, we can conclude that, some watermelons are also apples.
  • Hence Conclusion 4 will follow.

Option (c) Only I and IV follow .
