Answer:

matter is anything with occupies space and has some volume and can be precieved by our senses . matter exist in mainly 3 forms (solid, liquid, gas) these are known as state of matter, the meaning of the following are -:

SOLID : this is a state of matter in which the intermolecular force of attraction is very high and the space between the particles is very less , example: chair

LIQUID : This is a state of matter in which the intermolecullar space is less than of solid and the force is comparatively low ,example : water

GAS : this is a state of matter in which the intermolecullar space is very high and the force between the particles is very less ,example : water vapour

❥Matter in the solid state maintains a fixed volume and shape, with component particles (atoms, molecules or ions) close together and fixed into place. Matter in the gaseous state has both variable volume and shape, adapting both to fit its container. Its particles are neither close together nor fixed in place.
