Hey so friction can be of 3 types

Sliding Friction: The term sliding friction refers to the resistance created by two objects sliding against each other.

Static friction:Friction that prevents the motion of an object.

When one body rolls upon another, there is theoretically no sliding or slip between them

Hope it helps buddy

Answer:

Friction is the force that opposes motion between any surfaces that are in contact. ... Static, sliding, and rolling friction occur between solid surfaces. Static friction is strongest, followed by sliding friction, and then rolling friction, which is weakest. Fluid friction occurs in fluids, which are liquids or gases.
