Let the speed of the train moving from A be x the speed of the train moving from B will be :

(x + 18) Km/h

In 3.5 hrs the train from A and from B will have covered :

B = 3.5 × (x + 18) = 3.5x + 63

A = 3.5 x

The total distance covered will be :

587 - 34 = 553 km

3.5x + 3.5x + 63 = 553

7x = 553 - 63

7x = 490

x = 70km/h

The speed of train moving from B is :

70 + 18 = 88km/h
