The Verb "Have"
Explanation:
- The wide use of the verb is in the sense of "to have" by any Subject. Take for an example, I have ten pens. Here 10 pens are had by me, which clarifies the sense: to have.
- Another use of the verb Have as an Auxiliary Verb for Present Perfect Tense sentences: I have done the work. We have gone there. You have given up earlier. They have done it very well.
- Also "Have" is used in Present Perfect Continuous Tense: I have been writing this letter for two hours. They have suffering from poverty for the last ten years.
