GIVEN:

Diameter of the steam pipeline is 1000mm

Thickness of insulation over the steam pipeline is 200mm

                Heat loss of pipeline 200kcal

Heat loss at temperature is 180°c

       TO FIND:

Conductivity will be at 360°c is

   STEAM PIPE:

It is used to convert steam from boiler to the  working of tubine. The steam in the pipe should not change its properties like temperature, pressure, for the maximum efficiency of components.so we use insulation  over the pipe for the temperature losses.

  INSULATION:

The material which is used to reduce the heat losses to the atmosphere and conductivity value will be very less.

therefore if we put insulating material over the pipe then coduct more heat from the steam than the insulating material to the intermediate surface between two insulating materials and steam loss to the atmosphere ,therefore we use superioe insulators put over it .

hence the answer is none of the above
