Steam produces more severe bums than boiling water. Think why?

Though steam & boiling water have same tempareture (100°C)
Steam produces more severe burns than boiling water. it is because steam is produced by supplying the latent heat (80 cal/g)
to the boiling water . . so heat content of steam is more than  boiling water.
that is why it happens..

Steam has latent heat of vaporisation in it which much more than the energy in boiling water. So steam produces severe burns than boiling water.
