Steam produces more severe burns than boiling water. Predict why?

because steam ∆Q is more water ∆Q SO more calories in terms of energy causes severe burns

since water becomes vapours or as we call the as steam at higher temperature that is more than 100 degree celsius . so boiling water is at 100 degree celsius but steam is at a greater temperature than it. so automatically it produces severe burns.
