. Steel is preferred for making permanent magnets where as soft iron is preferred for making

electromagnet . Give one reason .

Steel is preferred for making permanent magnet whether iron used in electromagnet since _ steel has a high factor of coercivity, it is preferred for making permanent magnet and  soft iron is used in electromagnet becoz of it's high permeability and hysteresis loop is narrow is also one factor ...! hope it will help:)
