Given Equation is 2x - y = 7.

Given that the graph of the equation 2x - y = 7 meets the x - axis.

So, we put y = 0 in the given equation, we get

⇒ 2x - 0 = 7

⇒ 2x = 7

⇒ x = 7/2.

⇒ x = 3.5.

Therefore, at the point(0,3.5) the given equation meets the x - axis.

Hope it helps!

buddy57: why we need to take y value as 0
siddhartharao77: because in x-coordinate y-axis will be 0

at x-axis y=0
so put y equal to 0 in the equation
2*x-0=7
so x =7/2 =3.5
