Jawad’s total charge for a gardening job is:
 a fixed charge of 20 zeds plus
 an hourly charge of 30 zeds per hour.
Steph’s total charge for a gardening job is:
 a fixed charge of 30 zeds plus
 an hourly charge of 20 zeds per hour.
Jawad’s and Steph’s total charges, c, relates to, h, the number of
hours they spend on a job. Find c and h.

Solution :-

we have,

→ Jawad fixed charge = 20 zeds

→ charges per hour = 30 zeds

so,

→ Let total charge is c and number of hours is h ,

then,

→ 20 + 30h = c

and,

→ steph fixed charge = 30 zeds

→ charges per hour = 20 zeds

similarly,

→ c = 30 + 20h

comparing both,

→ 20 + 30h = 30 + 20h

→ 30h - 20h = 30 - 20

→ 10h = 10

→ h = 1 hour .

hence,

→ Total charge of jawad = 20 + 30h = 20 + 30*1 = 50

→ Total charge of steph = 30 + 20h = 30 + 20*1 = 50
