Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total money they win be x

So,

Stephen's share = X × 5/(5+2) = X × 5/7 = 5x/7

Similarly,

Bridget's share = X × 2/(5+2) = X × 2/7 = 2x/7

According to the question,

2x/ 7 + 27 = 5x/7

= 5x/7 - 2x/7 = 27

= (5x - 2x)/7 = 27

= 3x = 27 × 7

= x = 27 × 7/3

= x = 9 × 7

= x = 63

So the total amount they win = 63

&

Bridget's share = 2x/7 = 2 × 63/7 = 2 × 9 = #18
