Heya user,
Inserting two rational no.s is like marking two points b/w a line segment..
So, you can use the trick like--->
Consider two rationals 'A' & 'B' and insert X no.s b/w them -->
So, your soln. target would be to divide B-A into (x+1) parts
And get your nth no. as A + n[ (B-A) / (x+1) ]
In this case,
A = 3/8
B = 7/12
x = 2
For n = 1,
we get the 1st no. as 3/8 + [ (7/12 - 3/8) / 3 ]
=> 1st no. = 3/8 + 5/72 = 32/72 = 4/9
For 2nd no. n = 2;
2nd no. = 3/8 + 2[ (7/12 - 3/8) /3 ] = 3/8 + 10/72 = 37/72..
