Step 1-Light Dependent

CO2 and H2O enter the leaf

Step 2- Light Dependent

Light hits the pigment in the membrane of a thylakoid, splitting the H2O into O2

Step 3- Light Dependent

The electrons move down to enzymes

Step 4-Light Dependent

Sunlight hits the second pigment molecule allowing the enzymes to convert ADP to ATP and NADP+ gets converted to NADPH

Step 5-Light independent

The ATP and NADPH is used by the calvin cycle as a power source for converting carbon dioxide from the atmosphere into simple sugar glucose.

Step 6-Light independent

The calvin cycle converts 3CO2 molecules from the atmosphere to glucose

calvin cycle

The second of two major stages in photosynthesis (following the light reactions), involving atmospheric CO2 fixation and reduction of the fixed carbon into carbohydrate.

\textbf{Photosynthesis...}

It is the natural process by which green plants and some other organisms prepare their food (Glucose).

It occurs in Chloroplast.

\textbf{Equation :}

6CO2 + 6H2O -----› C6H12O6 + 6O2
===================================

\textbf{Raw Materials}

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Water (H2O) are the raw material of Photosynthesis.

Sunlight is need for the Photosynthesis.

Glucose (C6H12O6), Water (H2O) Oxygen (O2) are the products of Photosynthesis.
==================================

\huge\textbf{Mechanism or Steps}

\huge\textbf{of Photosynthesis :}

→ Light energy is converted into Chemical Energy and the Water moleculesplits into Hydrogen and Oxygen.

→ Light energy of sun is absorbed by Chlorophyll.

→ Carbon-dioxide is reduced to form Glucose. And Oxygen is released into the atmosphere.
==================================

\textbf{Importance of Photosynthesis :}

Photosynthesis is important because it produces oxygen as a bi-product which is necessary for living.

Also food is made by the help of this process (Photosynthesis) which is also important for living.
