Steps taken by government to imrove health care :-

• Pulse Polio is an immunisation campaign established by the Government of India in 1994 to eradicate poliomyelitis (polio) in India. the campaign has been successful, resulting in a remarkable decline in the incidence of Poliomyelitis in India.

• Health care facilities in the country have recorded a considerable increase over the past decades. At present, the number of hospitals in the country has crossed the 18,000 mark.

• NITI Aayog, which stands for National Institution for Transforming India. This Aayog formulates plans for country's economic development.
