Steps to perform:
1. Draw two different triangles - one obtuse angled and one right angled triangle (In order to complete the table below : parts 3 , 4) with help of GEOGEBRA.
You may use the link of geogebra : GeoGebra Classic
2. Then , measure their interior angles using the “measure angle” button.

Alternatively,
1. Use Pencil and ruler to draw two different triangles (mentioned above) , which must be labeled.
2. Measure each of the three interior angles.
3. Cut three interior angles of each triangle and and paste each vertex of the triangle at the same point .

4. Record your findings in the table below.

Triangle Number Measure of
Angle 1 Measure of Angle 2 Measure of Angle 3 Sum of the three interior angles
1 600 700 500
2 750 200 850
3

4
5 800 400
6 1100 500

Q1. Predict the values for the 5th and 6th triangle and complete the table given.
Q2. Describe how would you explain the relation /pattern for the three interior angles of the triangle.
Q3. Generalize the rule for the sum of interior angles of the triangle using suitable variables.
Q4. Explain if the same rule holds true for right angled triangle.
Q5. Verify the general rule for angle sum for a right -angled triangle.
