2. dead bodies of humans and animals should not be thrown in rivers
3. trees and shrubs should be planted along the banks of river
4. follow 4R principle( reduce, reuse, recycle, recover)
5. the use of synthetic detergents,should be minimized or biodegradable detergents should be used
6. toxic industrial waste should be treated chemically to neutralize the harmful substances present in it before discharging into rivers and lakes
7. the excreta and other garbage should be treated in biogas plant to get fuel as well as manure
8. the sewage should not be dumped into the rivers directly. It should 1st be treated at the sewage treatment plant to remove the organic matter from it in the form of manure
