Answer:

Let x = be the amount of cake obtained

     100 - x = be the amount of oil extracted

Solid in seeds = Solid in cake

(0.45)(100) = 0.8x

x = 56.25 kg of cake

Oil in seeds = Oil in cake + Oil recovered

(0.45)(100) = (0.05)(56.25) + Oil recovered

45 = 2.81 + Oil recovered ; Oil recovered = 45 - 2.81 = 42.19 kg

Therefore ,

Percent of Recovery of oil  = \frac{Amount Of Oil Recovered }{Amount Of Oil In Seeds} * 100 = \frac{42.19}{45 kg} * 100 = 93.75%

Answer is 93.75%
