They obtain CO2 from there spines.

hey..... here is ur answer......

stomata may be open or may be closed.....

this occurs by the increase in osmotic concentration of guard cells....... ...... ........

epidermis has a large number of alternating ports called stomata each stomata pores is guarded or bordered by pairs of guard cells ......

in most of the plant the guard cells are kidney or Bean shaped with inner wall being thicker and less elastic then outer cells.......
