→First of all , photosynthesis process is done during day time.
→They prepare food at day time.
→Now, stomata is closed at night so there is no problem regarding photosynthesis process.
→Plants do respiration process during night.
→They give out CO2 .
→We are advised not to sleep under trees at night for this reason only . We need oxygen for breathing not the Carbon dioxide.

the reason is that ...plants photosynthesise during the day time and produces glucose which is an essential ingredient as a food for plants....the glucose is converted to starch( insoluble form) and stored in plants .....At night , when plants do not have any source of light the starch is converted to glucose and is used in plants wherever necessary...so that is the reason even if stomata is closed however the pineapple can respire at night due to continuous supply of energy ( glucose)..
