Like many other animals, you breathe through your nose and mouth. Plants, by contrast, breathe through tiny pores called stomata on the underside of their leaves. These pores allow carbon dioxide to enter and oxygen to exit.

if stomata are open always than everytime gaseous exchange and transpiration would occur which would be a problematic situation and a barrier in photosynthesis
MRADDY:
because it willvresult in unwanted gaseous exchange hence unbalancing the regular cycle of gaseous exchange . (is it right???)
