Given:

Mass of stone = 50 kg

Velocity of stone = 10 m/s.

To find:

Kinetic energy of stone ?

Calculation:

  • Kinetic Energy is a type of MECHANICAL ENERGY that is present in an object by the virtue of its motion.

  • Let kinetic energy be KE :

KE =  \dfrac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}

 \implies KE =  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times 50 \times  {(10)}^{2}

 \implies KE =  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times 50 \times100

 \implies KE =  2500 \: Joules

So, kinetic energy of the stone is 2500 Joules
