It is important to keep the store clean in order to attract the customers. Some guidelines for doing this are :

1. The area outside the store should be clean. The front door and windows should be cleaned. The garbage cans should be in a good condition and not overflowing. Faded or out dated signs and posters should be removed.

2. The floors inside should be cleaned and mopped. The door mats should be in place, the aisles should be free from litter and the lights should be working.

3. The cash desk should be clean and organized. The customers should have enough place to pay for their purchases.

4. The products should be in good condition, clean and free from dust. Damaged and out dated products should be removed. The shelves should be clean.

5. Coffee or food counters should be wiped and cleaned. The equipment should be clean and shiny.

6. The staff should look neat and clean.
