An Unfortunate Incident in School
I opened my eyes and had no idea where I was. Then gradually I got to realize that I was in a hospital and I could feel pain in my head and saw someone was doing something on my head. I got severe pain when that person put a needle on my head and I understood that my head was injured and that person was stitching on my forehead. The pain was so intense that I burst into tears and felt an unbearable condition while stitching.
The last thing I remembered was that I was playing with a football in the chapel shade and it was a rainy day and the floor of the chapel was wet with water and somehow I skid on that floor and I fell down, then some of my friends lifted me for help and then at that moment I became senseless. After completing the stitching, the doctor put around a bandage on the wounded area, and then I had taken back to my class, where I saw my friends were worried about my condition. When I asked about how I was taken to the hospital after I became senseless, one of my friends replied that when I became unconscious, I was rushed to the Principal's Office and from there I was taken to the hospital by the non-teaching staff.
My class teacher had called my parents to the school and when they arrived for taking me back home, my mother was crying on seeing my condition and then I was returned back to my house after taking the eave from the school.
The Accident
I opened my eyes and had no idea where I was. The first thing I saw was a white ceiling. I was in a hospital room. I tried to sit up, but my whole body ached.
I had no idea how long I'd been in the hospital. Days? Weeks? I didn't know.
I didn’t know where I was or how I got there. My first thought was to call my parents, but the second I tried to move, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. I had been in a car accident, maybe even a serious one. I had to be sure.
I was right. I was in the hospital. My parents had been called. I didn’t know if I was going to see them again.
I started to worry. I had to find out the answer to something I didn’t know before: how bad was I hurt?
I asked the nurse at the end of the hall for help. She left me with the phone, and I called my mother. I couldn't understand why she kept crying, but she said she needed to talk to me.
My heart was in my throat as I waited for my mother to tell me what was wrong.
The nurse told me to take deep breaths and relax until I was ready to talk.
I felt like she was going to tell me I was going to die. I began to tremble and couldn't stop. I felt like I was going through the motions of life, but everything was wrong.
Finally, my mother told me. She said I was in a car accident. And I was in a rental car. It was a really nice rental car, she said.
The car had been going too fast. There was a car coming in the other direction. I didn’t see it coming. It hit the side of my car, pushing me into the opposite lane.
I remember a loud sound. My head was ringing. My side was hurting. I could barely move my body.
And then I remember nothing more.
