The Forest Camp
Veera and Karim were young Keralites. Next week their school was going to organize a camp near a forest in Pon Muddy. Finally the camp day came & we went out for it along with many other students of our school to explore forest.
There were separate transports. Each vehicle consisted 10 students. We were in a all van with 8 students , our teacher & the driver. While we were on our journey , it came to be heard from our teacher that meanwhile we had lost the way. Our teacher checked it out for being sure on the forest map that I took along with me in my bag. He said that we are lost. Now , we were away from the camp. Our teacher decided to spend the evening near a tree side & asked the driver to stop the van nearby.
So , almost all of us were quite sad as we were far from our groups but still our teacher entertained us alot and changed our mood to stay protonic. We had the dinner & were about to sleep suddenly I heard the some cries. It looked like an animal was crying. Then & their I informed the teacher about it & he calmed us down not worry about it as such things are obvious to be heard in forest.
After a while , we heard the sound "thump - thump" & this was much scary than anything went before. I & Karim , we both were much afraid this time. The vibration kept on increasing & this made all the students with us to awake & wonder about it. Just a moment later , an elephant came out of the big trees & bushes. It was a very large one , enough to make us remember our maternal grandmother. Looking to us , the elephant trumpeted angrily. I & Karim were a little far from our group. Our group was standing out beside the camp.
The big elephant came towards them. One of our mate , Mohit was really afraid of it & decided to action to defense the big elephant. He had a balloon. He planed to make the big elephant to get away from them. He started blowing up the balloon & then he hit it hard with his hands to make it sound louder like a pistol do. The sound of bang - bang made the elephant in fear of getting shooted. The elephant thought they will kill him & then & their he turned his way & ran away from them. Now , all of us were save.
Lesson : We should keep calm in difficult situations & should act with our presence of mind.
