'Discovering a New friend'
(Note:- This is a POV story, i.e, Point Of View, which means the narrator will be me.)
I was studying in 6th grade that time, I remember when I found a friend I would never forget for life.
As a typical 6th grader girl, I used to tag along with girls and gossip about, sometimes discussing new celebrity trends, sometimes gossiping about random people who walked by. Despite my choice of friends, I was a simple tomboyish girl, who clearly did not like pushing into others' lives.
Most of the times, the drama queens would leave me by myself, because I would contradict every rumor about a classmate, and childish plans of vengeance they made to disturb their opposing groups. While they spent time in all of this, I was stuck in my own dreamland of books. Since I shifted to an International school, books were my only true friend.
Until I met her.
She was a patch of grass in a garden of flowers, totally unnoticeable, but unique. She wore specs, and her hair was awkwardly combed; everyone avoided her. But something made me jump over to her. One hot day, I spotted her reading a book, and I bent a little, awkwardly, to look for it's title (just so I could try it later). I was surprised seeing such a quite, invisible girl was reading 'Agatha Christie' book!
I immediately flew over to her seat, and absently struck up a geeky conversation about books. We smiled, giggled, and chatted like old friends, and I'd never felt like I belonged here before I met her. We were so lost in the Wonderland of Books, that we forgot to introduce ourselves to each other even 4 days later!
I was half surprised, and proud, when I actually realized I found a friend while lost in woods, a friend I would cherish for life.
