In 1970, a mother purchased an antique Raggedy Ann Doll from a hobby store. The doll had been a birthday present for her daughter, Donna. Donna was a preparing to graduate from college with a nursing degree. She lived in a tiny apartment with her room mate, Angie. (a nurse as Pleased with the cute raggedy-Ann doll, Donna placed it on her bed as a decoration and didn’t give it a second thought. Within days both Donna and Angie noticed that there appeared to be something very strange and creepy about the doll. The doll mysteriously seemed to move about the house, relatively small movements at first, such as a change in position, but as time passed the movement became more noticeable. Donna and Angie would come home to find the doll in a completely different room. Sometimes the doll would be found with legs crossed, arms folded, other times it would be found upright, standing on its feet. Several times Donna sometimes left the doll on the couch before leaving for work, and would return to find the doll back in her room on the bed- with the door closed.
HOPE IT HELPS.

Annabelle the doll exists, and Ed and Lorraine Warren are real people (Ed died in 2006, but his wife is still alive and still in the business of busting ghosts). I also saw on the “Anabelle”’ IMDB that the movie mentioned the Manson Family and the Tate-LaBianca murders, which were also tragically real.
The rest of the story, however, is entirely fabricated. The Disciples of the Ram are entirely fictional, as are Mia, John and baby Lea. The original Annabelle is not a porcelain doll, but a Raggedy Ann doll. It was bought by the mother of Donna, a young woman about to earn her nursing degree, as a gift sometime in 1970. It purportedly moved around the home Donna shared with two others (Angie and Lou), wrote notes in parchment paper in a very childish script, and at one point tried to choke, then scratched up Lou.
It was then removed by Ed and Lorraine Warren, who also claimed the doll moved around on its own and put it in a specially made case. They claim that, while contained, Annabelle will still cause anyone who insults her or makes fun of her harm, usually by provoking a car crash.
