Answer:
A short story about a greedy shopkeeper is given below.
Explanation:
Two brothers were driving back to their house one fine night when they heard a sudden thud and got out to discover that their tyres had been punctured. When they looked closer, they discovered a couple of rusted bent steel nails poked right into the tyres. They parked the car and walked a few steps only to discover that there was only one tyre shop open at night. Even though it was unusual, it was very reassuring. They approached this man and were impressed by his friendly demeanour and hospitality, regardless of the time of day. The brothers asked the puncture man to assist them in repairing their tyres, but he refused to accompany them and instead convinced them to bring the vehicle in with a spare tyre, which the brothers did with great effort and managed to get it to the shop. This man started talking again with a big mouth and ended up fixing the tyre in 5 minutes, which surprised the elder brother but made the younger brother suspicious of the whole coincidence. The younger brother then began his side of the investigation, and within a short time, he discovered a bucket full of the same set of nails from their punctured tyre. When the brothers noticed this, they confronted the individual. Another customer entered the store while this was going on. This time it was the police, who had parked their car a few metres away. After hearing the argument, the police investigated and found this person guilty. He was then forced to change the tires for free and was later charged with fraud. And the shopkeeper had to pay a large sum of money for bail only to realize that he could have made more money and gained more respect if he had not been greedy.
