One day a crow was thirsty. He was flying hair and there in search of water. At last he found a pitcher. There was a little water at the bottom of it. But he could not get at it.

'How can I drink it ?' said the crow to himself.

The clever crow made out a plan. He saw some stones nearby. He dropped them one by one into the pitcher. The level of water rose up. The crow could drink the water to its fill.
