Answer: Before every other form of transportation, humans travelled on foot. Fortunately, human beings learned to use animals such as donkeys, horses and camels for transportation from 4000 BC to 3000 BC.

                          They also realized boats in the shape of a fish could travel faster in water.  

        The invention of the wheel and steam engine brought about a revolution in the field of transport.

In time, the steam engine was replaced by more efficient engines that use petrol, diesel and electricity. Automobiles, motorized boats and ships, trains and aeroplanes today are powered by such engines and can travel much faster.
