Story of water:
The story of water goes as back as the story of origin of life. There can be no life that can exist without water. So, how water was first formed on the earth is a story of how life was created on earth. Water is chemically made up of two combustible elements, that is 'oxygen and hydrogen' but itself acts as an extinguisher. It was formed in a fixed ratio and its properties could he altered if the ratio changes. About '70% of the earth surface' and the human body is constituted by water. Out of this '70% only 3%' is fresh water which can be used by humans, and out of this '3% only 0.001%' is available to us in the form of rivers, lakes etc. The rest is found frozen in ice sheets of poles. So, it is a very rare commodity and should be used with utmost caution and steps should be taken to save it.

We are all aware of how much water is essential for us. Water is essential for all the living organisms including plants existing on this Earth. About three-fourth of the surface of our Earth is covered with water.
Water has a great role in metabolism. Water is used by our cells, tissues and organs to perform essential activities like to regulate our temperature and to perform functions of our body.
Water has a vital role in flushing out toxic substances from our body. It also carries oxygen as well as nutrients to our body and brain.
