Once upon a time, there lived a little boy with his parents. He was a very obedient kid and listened to all that his parents told him. He did not ask them any questions about anything. He liked going to school with his friends. All his friends used to ask doubts to their teacher if they did not understand anything. However, this little boy was different. He would just listen silently and ask no doubts.

One day, he did not understand something that the Geography teacher taught about rotation and revolution. But, he kept quiet without asking the teacher his doubt. When he came home and read the lesson again, he found it confusing. Unfortunately, his parents were also not able to explain it to him. The boy made up his mind that he would ask the teacher to explain it once again the next day.

When the teacher came to class, she asked the students if they had understood the previous day’s lesson. The boy hesitated for a moment and stood up to ask his question. Everyone was surprised as they had not seen the boy do such a thing before. The teacher realized that she too had forgotten to mention an important aspect of rotation. She congratulated the boy and once again explained this concept to the students. The boy was also happy that he had got his doubt cleared. He learnt a lesson that getting doubts clarified helps one to learn more and paves way for wisdom.

In a small town named Ramgarh at the foot of the Himalayas lived Manas whose parents taught at a school. It was otherwise a peaceful place in the lap of nature and people were simple. But the peace of his family was disrupted when two men came as tenants in their house. They had rented the entire first floor to Samir and Sahil (as told by both of them).

One evening there was a strange odour in the house and when Manas came back from school, he wondered what had happened in their house. Following the smell he reached the first floor, but, to his surprise, he didn't find any untoward sight. He came back and by the time his parents came back from school, he had forgotten about that strange odour.

The next day Manas was down with fever, so he took an off from his school. While he lay in his bed, he heard Samir talking on the phone regarding some formula. Manas got alert, he tried to eavesdrop but couldn't get what he was talking. Yet, he sensed there was something fishy and doubted their intention.

One evening, while he was watching a news channel, he came to learn about the attack in the market of Sujanpur in Punjab. There one attacker was caught and died in an encounter, while his two friends managed to escape and their names were Shakeel and Shivam. They had been missing since then. Now, when he remembered having heard that news, he doubted both his tenants and he shared his doubt with his parents.

His father realized that he hadn't asked Samir and Sahil to have verification since one of his very close friends and somehow he never felt it was that important. But now, after talking with Manas, he was intrigued. He called both of them for tea and had a formal conversation about their future plans and how long were they planning to be in Ramgarh. He couldn't find any sound reason, yet he decided to share the doubt with his neighbor Vinay who was a police inspector.

With the help of Vinay, he was able to keep a vigil and find about their dubious activities. He tried to get the details of the two attackers who had run away from Sujanpur and to their amazement, it was revealed that they were only Shakeel and Shivam. So, after a brief interrogation, both were arrested and the inspector praised Manas for his alertness and presence of mind.
