I was on the roof of my house and an earthquake came; suddenly the ground began to shake violently, tall structures around the ground began to crumble; scrams of panic could be heard everywhere. Our house shook violently too; there was chaos and commotion.
Many houses around my house collapsed too; many people got buried under the rubble. People standing on roads rushed to rescue people trapped under the rubble. They forgot everything. Their only motive was to save as many lives as was possible.
Soon the Rapid Action Teams arrived. The roofs were lifted with the cranes. Ambulances reached with sirens wailing and lights flashing. Injured people were rendered first-aid. More critically injured ones were rushed to the hospital.
I thanked God for saving me and my family; and prayed for those trapped under the fallen buildings.

I somehow managed to reach the stairs, and the earthquake stopped at the moment.
